In April 2022, MOKMOK settled in the small village of Songjeongdong, situated north of Seoul’s Seongsu-dong, adjacent to the Jungnangcheon stream. Designated as an urban regeneration area, Songjeongdong is a quaint neighborhood where old houses from the 70s and 80s stand alongside long-time residents. In spring, cherry blossoms bloom, and in autumn, the banks are adorned with gingko leaves, creating a beautiful alley where Jump’s community space MOKMOK resides.

Gathering to address the social issue of bridging educational opportunity gaps, various Jump community members are solidifying their connections to expand the cycle of sharing and extend positive influence throughout our society. We connect spaces to foster Jump’s values and spread positive stories from community space MOKMOK, aiming to become a starting point where these values and stories reach far and wide in our society.

Examining the characters for ‘MOKMOK’ closely reveals two Chinese characters: ‘목’ (wood) and ‘목’ (eye). ‘MOKMOK’ signifies a community that grows together while looking at each other, represented by the image of large and small trees leaning on each other to create a space (door) and grow together. This concept is embodied in the logo.

On the 1st floor, Lowkey Songjeong Branch is located, serving as a cafe space during the day and transitioning into a community space afterward. Collaborating with Lowkey Songjeong Branch, various projects are underway to share events, education, and experiences.
